Absolutely not. fShare uses WebRTC peer-to-peer technology. Your file travels directly from your browser to your recipient's browser. Our servers only help the two browsers find each other (a process called signaling) — they never see the actual file data.
fShare has no hard file size limit. Files are sent in 64KB chunks using WebRTC DataChannels, so even multi-gigabyte files work fine. The practical limit is your device's available RAM and network speed.
No. The recipient only needs to open fShare in their browser, click "Receive", and enter the 6-digit code. No account, no app download, no sign-up required on their end.
Very secure. WebRTC DataChannels use DTLS (Datagram TLS) encryption by default — the same standard that secures HTTPS websites. Your 6-digit code acts as a one-time session key. Once the tab is closed, the code expires and the transfer session ends permanently.
